Papaya Gundan Welcome to the Papaya Club, where the girls are gorgeous and their lives are complex. For instance, there’s Mika and Cheri, two hostesses who are in a complicated friends-with-benefits relationship. Mika seems to think of them as more than bed buddies, though, and it’s causing a bit of a problem. There’s also the “backstage mom” Riko-chan, who keeps falling for creative manchildren. She may have found a keeper in Ryuu, a teenage dancer she picked up off the street. Then there’s the boss, Hajime, who’s hopelessly head-over-heels for the new recruit Kyouko, who’s a fujoshi by day and a hostess by night.
